If they have stable employment but feel stuck on where to begin, or if you’ve been told “not yet” and want to understand how to turn that into a "yes," you belong here. You already possess the belief that homeownership is possible for you; now, you deserve the real, expert guidance of a team of dedicated, knowledgeable advisors to help you map out your journey.
HOW IT WORKS
The Legacy Builder Homebuying Boot Camp is a free, 26-week hybrid program designed to meet you where you are and walk with you every step of the way to closing on your home. Each week, you will receive a focused email lesson with action items that move you forward in your homebuying journey. Every month, you will join a live Zoom session with the top industry experts in Maryland, your Legacy Advisors, who will answer your real questions in real time. Twice during the program, we come together in person for workshops, where the learning goes deeper, and the community gets stronger. Throughout the program, you will receive personal one-on-one check-in calls from Keller Williams Preferred Properties licensed Realtor® Bernice Victor to ensure you stay on the right path because your journey is not one-size-fits-all. And when you cross the finish line, we celebrate the right way at a private graduation dinner where your hard work, your growth, and your legacy get the recognition they deserve.
WHAT YOU’LL LEARN
Over six months, you will gain the knowledge that most homebuyers wish someone had given them before they started. We cover everything from repairing and building your credit score, creating a budget and getting financially ready, understanding mortgage basics and navigating the pre-approval process, unlocking Maryland's most powerful down payment assistance programs, including the Maryland Mortgage Program and SmartBuy. You will learn how to search for and evaluate properties like a pro, what happens during inspections, how title and closing work, and how to protect your investment with the right homeowner's insurance. This boot camp operates on the principle that a home is more than a purchase, it is a wealth-building tool. We close by exploring how real estate does more than secure property. It funds your biggest life dreams and builds a lasting legacy that shifts the future for generations to come.

Yes, this program is completely free. There is no application fee, no program fee, no catch. The Legacy Builder Homebuying Boot Camp is free because we believe that access to knowledge should never be the reason someone can’t become a homeowner. All we ask for in return is your commitment. Show up, do the work, trust the process.

Not at all. We accept applicants with any credit score. Credit repair is one of the very first things we tackle together in Month 1. Where you start is not where you finish. Show up, do the work, and trust the process.

All monthly Zoom sessions are held once a month on Wednesdays at 7 pm. We record and share within it 24 hours, so you can catch up on your own time. The two in-person workshops will be held on Saturday morning. We strongly encourage attendance since those sessions include partner experts and hands-on activities that are hard to replicate. If something comes up, we ask that you communicate with us early, and we will work with you the best we can.

Of course, you can still apply. The Legacy Builder Homebuying Boot Camp is open to all Maryland residents. Our monthly Zoom sessions are fully virtual and accessible from anywhere in the state. In-person workshops will be held in Prince George’s County, MD. We encourage participants from across Maryland to make the trip. Your county does not determine your eligibility. You must be a Maryland resident.

The goal is for you to be in your new home or actively under contract. This is the result for participants who complete all four milestones. The program is not the end; it’s the beginning of one of its best parts is homeownership.
